I used to clean the outside of the vents, and the stainless steel filters when I was a kitchen porter. It's amazing how greasy they get, absolutely horrible. I imagine that inside it's like just layers of black sludge...

Oh there's plenty of horror stories, I'll keep them to myself whilst you're all eating your breakfast though!

I'm an author. Normally I'd plug my books at this point, but you can't really do that while being cagey about your identity, as we are advised to do! There's not much money in the creative arts, so I make a few extra quid where I (legally and ethically) can.

I also interpret (translate), so I spent a lot of times on buses and trains between appointments, and I sometimes manage to fit in a bet or some free spins while I'm travelling.

Hi everybody, this is a really interesting post - it truly shows that Matched Betting appeals to all sorts.

I started life as an Engineer (Electronic) many years ago and for a few years now I have been making Celebration and Wedding Cakes - you name it I can make it!! from scale models of cars and boats to 5 and 6 tier wedding cakes.

I love maths and logic so I am intrigued by MB and started out on this part of my journey about 6 months ago.

I'm currently unemployed and struggling to get a job, I don't have any outgoings as I live with my parents so it's not a problem but I had a 5-year plan to get on the property ladder, or at least have my deposit ready and when I lost my job I decided to make a proper go of matched betting (had already done a couple of signup offers about a year ago) so I could still achieve my savings goals. I'm looking for a job in marketing but looks like I'll have to start as an apprentice and apprenticeships don't seem to be popping up at the moment.

I work from home freelance for a couple of IT companies, but the pay isn't great. I started match betting in early 2017 to earn enough for a second-hand car after my old Clio died on me. After about two months of doing the easy signups, I'd earned enough to buy, but spent the small bankroll I had built up. Started again with a small bank of £25.00 in October, and am slowly building up a bankroll again.

Ah, go on! I watched a programme about people clearing fatbergs from the sewer, I can take it!

Oh dear where to start!

My 'Paid' job is a Resouce Planning Analyst (lots of crunching numbers, forecasting, planning etc)

I tend to flit between skillsets and love learning new things so I also am a fully qualified chef and used to run 3 kitchens as the head chef.

I am a pretty decent photographer and also partake in some woodworking from time to time.

Oh and not to forgot a fully professional Dad with the Dad Bod and Dad Joke skillset to back me up 😂

I'm a senior construction manager, and have been for the past 10+ years. prior to that i was in PR and specialised in crisis management. Literally swapped my high heels for steel toe cap boots overnight - the best move i could have ever made! Have 2 children 17 and 9, trying to get divorced (so i can marry my new beau 😍 ), and clear off all the debts i was saddled with.

Have lots of time off over xmas so am going to be MB'ing HARRRRRRDDD!!  It'll me and the laptop and a continuous supply of fizz and pringles. Aside from the money, i love the whole MB'ing community - i love being part of something.

Outside of MB I am an unemployed parent. I looked into doing MBing years ago when I was trying to find a job that fitted around school hours and in term time only as I wasn't able to go back to the job I had done before a break while my children were young (pharmaceutical sales).

It took about 3 years of dithering before I finally took the plunge in January this year and while I'm not a massive earner like some, our family holiday this year was paid for by my profits.

I work as an internal IT trainer travelling the country and spending two weeks at a time at each location training the staff on the company's computer system. Though I'm away quite a bit I enjoy seeing different places around the country and meeting new folks regularly. I live with my wife and 3 grown up children. I need to sort out my MB funds as they're small amounts scattered over numerous accounts and recently I've not done very much as they mostly have less than £10 in so miss out on the spend £10 get...... offers. My ambitions are small at the moment, to get £1K twice a year: by July to help pay for a summer holiday and then by December to help pay for Christmas.

In April I decided to end my career in media and leave London. I went abroad with MB as my only source of income and it was going quite well until my laptop got wet. I was really sad as I was also trying to start a new career as a sports masseuse in the surf tourism industry while I was away but now I had not steady income and I couldn't afford to fix the macbook. A friend rescued me and now I'm setting up in Sheffield instead. It's not as exotic but it's about 2hrs to any other part of the country from here so that's handy for visiting everyone. Is anyone else from Sheffield?

I left my office job in Canary Wharf 10 years ago and rented out my flat in East London. Since then i suppose you could call me a slumlord. Basically living off the rent while travelling / living in South America. I come back to visit the UK over Christmas each year. I do a bit of Uber driving while here, but then a passenger introduced me to matched betting. This last year i found i could still matched bet for a few hours a day while abroad and earn £500 - £1000 a month. Happy daze.

I'm a student of Philosophy, Politics and Economics at university - though won't be for much longer, so really need to find a job...

In my spare time, I cofounded an app development business, and have helped to build the TP Calculator app, as well as creating my own matched betting app. We have a varied app portfolio, including a font management app which has been downloaded 100k+ times, and a slang sticker pack!

At weekends I'll go along to support Reading FC - but why I put myself through that, I don't know...

So I am currently not working due to finally receiving treatment for a long term illness and I am delving into the world of match betting to keep up an income stream and fill the hours each day as not having a set job everyday can be very mind numbing. i have started a few different online money making schemes in the hope I will be able to afford a new van to go back into multidrop delivery as a freelance and be able to bid online for jobs across the country and into Europe once my treatment ends and I am back to full health. i must say compared to my other schemes there's alot to learn, it's like a whole new language as I have only been a Saturday shop punter to now but I am enjoying the challenges and it's good to finally be giving it to the bookie even if it is in a small way right now but with the help of you guys and team profit who knows the future looks bright and my Van is getting closer by the day. ☺

My uncle's a Bolton fan - went with him a few seasons ago when we won 7-1 :classic_biggrin:

Apparently Parky is high up on our managerial shortlist at the moment, looks like he's been solid if unspectacular at BWFC so will see what happens (that's if he'd even want to come here)...

Good luck for the rest of the season.

I have fallen into working in procurement as a sourcing buyer for the NHS, having studied French and Spanish at university.

My hobbies are mainly watching sport so matched betting fits in perfectly with that. A huge Leeds United fan, this year is our year! The other sports I watch are American Football and basketball, but considering the money I've been making on horses I should really start watching those races as well!
