Hi Chris, I have a question for you.

I'm a complete beginner at Matched Betting and have been introduced to it by my daughter, who has being doing
MB for the past few months successfully. When she comes to stay with us for a few days, she carries on with her
MB at our house, so she uses our wi-fi internet / our IP address ... she uses her own laptop.

Should I take a break from my own match betting while she is using our wi-fi? I'm not keen on getting gubbed, if
this is likely to happen.

Hey Ol King Joel!

Great to hear your starting matched betting and that your daughter has been matched betting successfully for the past few months.

It help prevent getting gubbed due to sharing the same wifi, firstly to mention I don't think this is a major issue, as in the past I have shared wifi with a housemate and it didn't (fortunately!) seem to result in gubbings (e.g. we were never both gubbed from a bookie around the same time).

However, if you want to be as safe as possible, you could either:

a) one of you could do matched betting on a mobile using 4G data. Given your daughter visits now and then, it would make sense for her to use her 4G data on her mobile, this means she wouldn't need to use your wifi.

b) one of you could use a VPN when connecting to your wifi, as I believe this would mean the bookies couldn't pick up that you were using the same wifi. Personally I've used hidemyass which is £8/month https://www.hidemyass.com/en-gb/pricing though you can also use a free VPN (I haven't tried one myself but here's a handy article from PC magazine: https://uk.pcmag.com/encryption/4328/the-best-free-vpns)

Hope this helps and any questions with this please do add a reply cheers!

Ta very much for your answer, Chris. It's very helpful.
When you used Hidemyass in the past, were you offered a choice of several IP addresses based in the UK?
Cheers, Joel

NordVPN, which I use allows you to choose from loads of different UK servers.

Apologies for the delay in replying @William, how have you been getting on so far? If you need any help please do let me know, if you haven't yet started I'd definitely recommend to continue watching the Video Guides https://teamprofit.com/matched-betting-guide

Once you've watched the video guide, you can choose one of the week by week plans here:

Any questions please do post cheers!

Does eSports count as obscure? Noticed a few bookies have eSports on their sites now.

Tricky one I think @Lorelei! I'd say it is pretty obscure given very few UK customers will be betting on it, though maybe some bookies may think you're more of a mug customer as you're betting on a sport that's uncommon. If it's one of your more valuable accounts like Bet365, then I'd give it a miss, if it's for an offer on a smaller bookie, then I'd give it a go!

Hey @ROBM! Sure yep so for roulette, it's completely random, so you simply place bets on say red or black. Once you reach the wagering requirement, then you'll receive the free bet/bonus/cash.

So if it was Wager £10 on roulette and get a £5 free bet, then you could do say 10 x £1 bets on red.

You could get unlucky and lose most of your £1 bets on red, but over the long term it will be profitable.

I'd recommend checking out this guide:

Thanks for your help. The guide is not very clear. It just states how roulette works. However would you go min stakes all on red or did you just go divide by 10 and that's your stake?

Ah apologies for this @ROBM, usually the terms will state a min and max stake per spin.

For example, if the terms say min stake 20p, max stake £2, then you could do any spin amount between these.

If you choose 20p, then the risk is reduced, because you will now be doing 50 spins of 20p. The likelihood is you'll get at least say 20 reds, so you'd end out returning £8.00 (being 20 reds x the 40p you get back each time it lands on red). So overall, your down only £2 whilst you get the £5 free bet. On average though, you'd be down 30p, because the return to player on roulette is 97%, so for wagering £10 you will on average get £9.70 back.

If you choose £2, then the risk is much higher, you could get very unlucky and all 5 spins land on black, meaning you've lost your full £10.

So overall, it's a trade off between risk and time. If you're willing to take the risk, then you could do 5 x £2, to save time. However, if you'd prefer, you could do 50 x 20p spins, to minimise any potential loss. Either way the average loss on both approaches is 30p.

If I were to do £2 spins, I'd want at least £500+ in my bankroll, this would be so if I did keep doing these offers and keep getting unlucky, I'd be okay with a downswing of £100 to £200. If I only had say £100, then I'd definitely be doing the lowest possible spin amount, to keep the risk as low as possible.

Hope this helps and any questions with this please do shout cheers!

When should I join oddsmonkey. I have access to a good odds matcher already. I want to join but is it worth it yet

Oddsmonkey's oddsmatcher is far better than any other on the market. I'd join them now if you're already using an Oddsmatcher. Give them a go with the £1 trial so you can see how good it is before fully committing 🙂

Hi, I’ve done the netbet second deposit offer. Deposited £50, got 100% matched bonus (sticky, as I’m sure you know). Won a few hundred, withdrew winnings. Now the bonus is just sitting there. What do I do- try to wager with it again, cancel it, or just ignore it?

Was this the casino offer?

yes, casino

ah if you've already withdrawn profit then the only thing you can really do is use the bonus again! Have you tried using it on Blackjack/roulette and betting say, £5, to see if the winnings go into cash?

I haven't, but I'll give it a go... seems almost too good to be true if I can use it all over again!

Been a while since i've had a juicy bonus from netbet but im pretty sure I was in the same position. Remember winning and withdrawing and still having £50. So banged it on the slots again but sadly no more wins haha. Who cared though? It was risk free! 😄

Should you leave funds in the book or withdraw straight away to deposit another day?

A quick question about ACCA in exchange often the choice is YES or NO which sound ambiguous for me.

I have read I should lay the YES ( for example all 3 team win ), but what is the equivalent of the NO of exchange in the bookmaker ( anything with one draw or lost instead of all win )

So sorry for the late reply, this slipped under my radar 😮 If you have enough money then it's always best to leave it there, however if still doing the welcome offers then there's no issue in withdrawing straight away!

No is just the teams not to win. So by laying no, you are saying they WILL win (basically backing YES, something you've already done on the bookie)

Thanks Tom.

In Lunchtime profits, I see you are talking about a bookmaker called Moplay, but I can not see it in welcome offer webpage. Any reasons or problems with them ?

Checking their website it say Bet £10+ at odds 1.50+, get 2 x £15 free bets

We haven't got round to adding them yet - they're fairly new to be fair. I think we'll get something up shortly but yes, they are definitely worth doing 🙂
